I live for wearing comfy, relaxed pieces on an everyday basis (see: my total adoration for all things sweatshirt), so I was super excited to put together a pajama-inspired look for day (and night!). I love the contrast red piping on this pajama top from J.Crew. The whole look gets day-to-night friendly with the faux-leather jacket and the sequin bag.
I was freezing in these photos, which makes me laugh looking at it now, because I think there's such a warmth to the images (although you may be able to see from my face how cold I am!). As for the pajama top, I've linked a few similar styles below. I left one side untucked to add to the casual-ness of the look; you can do the same, tuck it in totally or even leave it untucked, almost like a shirtdress.
This is a really exciting weekend for me: One of my dear friends, Alicia, is getting married. We were roomies in college and we moved out of our parents' places and into Brooklyn together a few years after we graduated. It's crazy to think we've been friends for 12 years! I was with her before she went on her first date with the guy she's now marrying, Brian, so it all feels so special to me. (Oh, and Alicia is the one who introduced Tom and I!) It's also the first wedding of a close friend's where I'm a bridesmaid... so there's so many levels of eeee!!! (I.e. excitement, haha.)
Wishing you a cozy first weekend of spring,
Heather xoxo
Earrings are by ASOS (these are similar and I also LOVE these). Faux-leather jacket is by H&M (similar here and here). Pajama shirt is J.Crew (try this very similar one, this fun floral-printed one; this navy one with contrast piping; this one comes with matching shorts and this pink one would look so pretty with all denim). Jeans are H&M (similar here and here) and the boots are Marc Fisher (similar).
