Swingy and loose-fitting, these pants are dressy enough for most office environments, yet they’re so comfy, it’s like you’re wearing pajamas.
Since the pants are big and loud, keep your silhouette looking slim with a fitted, dark top. Black always works!
Trying to take pictures on the rocks in Central Park with tons of people around usually results in more pictures like the one above than anything else (i.e. me feeling silly!).
There’s something powerful about loose-fitting, colorful pants: they’re eye-catching, and they make your legs look longer (the stripes on the side help, and so does wearing wedges or sandals with a heel). Pick a patterned style and take a “fashion risk” while keeping the rest of your outfit simple. Love these here (a pretty shade of blue), here (a more casual style that hits lowers on your hips, perfect with flat sandals), and here (these have cool-looking slits up the legs). Some of those pants I linked have solid-color options too, in case that’s more your cup of tea. Feeling extra bold? Go for a head-to-toe pattern, super chic, like here.
Xoxo, H
The pants I’m wearing are from Century 21, the bag is Kate Spade (similar).
Photographs by Tom Schelling, taken in NYC. Tom took these photos with a film camera, so the quality and color is totally different than his DSLR, which I love.
